James Neesham is one of the most followed non-Indian cricketers on social media for a reason. Not only does he indulge in regular conversations with fans across the world, but he also can look at things from a different perspective.
The 28-year-old was in the news for his heroics in the recently concluded ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 held in England and Wales. And on Tuesday, from a long transcontinental flight to play in the upcoming Caribbean Premier League (CPL), Neesham did an Ask Me Anything (AMA) on his Instagram story.
Soon enough, the inevitable question – a trap more than a question: Kohli or Dhoni? Rohit or Bumrah? Who is Neesham’s favorite Indian cricketer?
Of course, Neesham has been around long enough to know what follows any answer to such questions. His response should surprise no one.
Here is Neesham’s answer:
For anyone who doesn’t know, Ish Sodhi was born in Ludhiyana, Punjab on October 31, 1992. Thus, technically, Neesham is right in naming Sodhi as his favorite Indian cricketer, given that the right-arm Kiwi leg spinner is Indian by birth.
It is Jimmy’s another unique way of trolling his fans on social media and keeping them in good spirits.
