WATCH: Jasprit Bumrah picks up a hat-trick for India against West Indies in 2nd Test

India’s pace sensation Jasprit Bumrah picked up a hat-trick against West Indies on Day 2 of the second Test in Jamaica as the batting woes for the hosts continued with another collapse.

Bumrah’s hat-trick was just the third in Test cricket by an India bowler, following Harbhajan Singh against Australia in Calcutta in 2001 and Irfan Pathan against Pakistan in Karachi in 2006.

Overall, it was the 44th hat-trick in Test history and the first at Sabina Park.

Bumrah finished the second day of Jamaica Test with 6-16 off 9.1 overs, after last week taking 5-7 in the second innings of the Antigua Test.

At stumps, West Indies were struggling at 87 runs for the loss of seven wickets, still 329 runs behind India’s first-innings total of 416.

Bumrah, playing his 12th Test, dismissed Darren Dravo, Shamarh Brooks and Roston Chase of successive deliveries in the 9th over of the Windies innings.

Bravo was sent back to the pavilion as Bumrah had him caught at the second slip by KL Rahul. Brooks and Chase were caught plum in front, and both were adjudged leg-before wicket.

Chase was initially given not-out but Indian captain Virat Kohli opted for a review and the ball tracker showed that the ball was hitting the stumps.
