Sheldon Cottrell, who emerged as the top wicket-taker for the West Indies during the recently concluded World Cup in England and Wales, is quite famous for his military salute celebration which is loved by everyone. He is also very active on social media and often hosts Q&A sessions with his fans.
Cottrell’s ability to bring the new ball back into the right-hander early in the innings saw him pick four wickets in three T20Is against India, at an economy rate of 5.91.
“Ask me who is the best dancer, fast bowlers don’t have favorite batsmen”
Cottrell, who isn’t a part of the Windies side that is currently competing with the Indian team in the second Test of the two-match series in Jamaica, was recently on Twitter having some conversation with his fans.
One of the fans asked the 30-year-old about his favorite batsman from the Indian team.
To this question, Cottrell showed his true Jamaican spirit and answered that being a fast bowler, he doesn’t have any favorite batsmen, as they hated every batter. Fast bowlers wanted to dismiss every batsman they face.
He asked the fan to instead ask him, who his favorite dancer was. “I’m a bowler we don’t have favorite batsmen! Ask me who the best dancer is then! We want all the batsmen out!” Cottrell tweeted.
