Indian opening batsman Shikhar Dhawan got a nasty blow on his neck when trying to play a scoop shot off Beuran Hendricks. Shikhar was playing against South Africa A in the fifth unofficial ODI on Friday at Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram.
He passed the concussion test and went on scoring 51 runs off 36 balls for his team, hitting five fours and two sixes. He, along with Sanju Samson, added 135-run for the second wicket partnership.

At the end of the innings, his partner Sanju Samson revealed what Shikhar Dhawan said to him after getting hit. “Ball ko dekh toot gaya hoga“, said Dhawan to Sanju and admitted that it was a painful blow.
