Cricket South Africa (CSA) on Monday announced a new partnership with the Asian brand, Amul, as an official Asian partner to the Proteas.
Amul is the ninth largest dairy product producer in the world and the largest food company in India. The company has a total annual turnover of 7 billion USD.
The megabrand will feature on the back of the T20 jerseys during the Proteas current tour of India.
“Amul shares our values and we’re grateful for this opportunity of a unique partnership that will not only offer Amul a new and exciting platform but also strengthen the relationship between the Proteas and our fans in the sub-continent,” CSA Chief Commercial Officer Kugandrie Govender was quoted as saying in iol.co.za.
Before the entry of the major dairy brand, New Balance was seen as the sponsor of South Africa. It also sponsored the Proteas during the recently concluded ICC Cricket World Cup in the UK which was won by England.
South Africa didn’t have a successful stint in the World Cup and couldn’t even qualify into its semi-finals. They finished on in the seventh position in a 10-nation tournament.
