Quinton de Kock, the newly-appointed captain of South Africa’s T20I team, left the reporters in stitches with his hilarious gesture during a press conference in Mohali, on Tuesday.
Ahead of the second T20I against India on Wednesday, De Kock was interacting with the reporters. And it seemed like he was ready to take some questions when South Africa’s media-manager ended the session by saying, “That’s it. Thank you very much”. The southpaw then stood up from his spot and hilariously said, “That was a dull one”.

The first game between the two sides was washed out without a ball being bowled. One can say that de Kock might be nervous before the big occasion but the left-hander himself is confident of doing the job. Speaking on the eve of the second game, De Kock said that he is not too concerned due to an extra responsibility.
“I’m not too concerned (extra responsibility of leading the side). It’s just a new stepping stone in my career,” he told reporters before adding: “Just gives me a bit of extra responsibility in the team. We’ll see how it goes – it can affect me negatively or positively – I’m not sure at the moment. Hopefully, it gives me the positive energy and I give the best I can do.”
