Pakistan vs Sri Lanka: After a washout in first game, PCB & SLC reschedule the second ODI

The first game of the three-match ODI series between Pakistan and Sri Lanka was called off due to rain. After evaluating the ground conditions, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) along with Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has decided to reschedule the second match of the series.

The decision was made to provide some more time to groundstaff to prepare the stadium’s outfield for the next game. The match will now take place on September 30 instead of September 29.

PCB thanked SLC and broadcasters for their co-operation regarding the matter.

“This week’s unseasonal heavy rains have forced us to review the series schedule. I am thankful to Sri Lanka Cricket as well as our host broadcasters for agreeing to amend the match schedule to ensure there are no further abandonments due to rain in what is an important bilateral FTP series for Pakistan,” said PCB Director Zakir Khan in the official statement.

PCB has also released a statement regarding the ticket policy. The tickets sold for the first game will be valid for the upcoming ODIs.
