Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah roasts Virat Kohli for the 2019 World Cup semi-final exit

Team India skipper Virat Kohli is often trolled on social media for not winning any of the major ICC tournaments.

The trolling has got to a whole new level as the makers of the famous Indian television show ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ have taken a dig at the captain Kohli regarding Team India’s defeat in the 2019 World Cup semi-final.

In the episode no. 2828, a prominent character of the show Aatmaraam Bhide tries to solve a riddle received through a postcard. The puzzle asks, “Humesha jeetne wala” (the one who always wins). While Bhide first says Virat Kohli as the answer, his daughter Sonu denies it by saying that the latter recently lost in the semi-final match of the 2019 World Cup.

The video of the moment became quite popular on social media with Twitter users responding to it.

Some of the fans got upset with the jibe Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma took on the Indian captain while others took it sportingly and laughed.

Team India, who was one of the favorites in the 2019 World Cup, lost in the semi-final against New Zealand. India finished on the top spot after the group stage, and many expected the Kohli side to lift the trophy. However, a top-order batting collapse against the Black Caps saw India on the losing end in the knockout match by 18 runs.
