IND vs SA 1st Test: WATCH – Mohammed Shami hits the timber thrice to dismantle South Africa’s top order

Mohammed Shami and second innings – what a beautiful love story! The Indian speedster went wicketless in the first innings and as always came back stronger in the second innings to rip South Africa’s top order apart.

Shami provided three quick wickets to India by removing Temba Bavuma, Faf du Plessis and Quinton de Kock in the first session of the final day in Vizag.

Faf du Plessis and Quinton de Kock, who amassed more than 200 runs in the first innings for the Proteas, failed to read Shami’s seam movement in the second innings.

In the last two years, Shami’s bowling average in the second innings is 19.32, which is much better than his first-innings average of 34.55.

Here’s the video:

Earlier, Ravichandran Ashwin cleaned up the overnight batsman Theunis de Bruyn to equal Muttiah Muralitharan’s record of the fastest bowler to reach 350 Test wickets.
