Wriddhiman Saha, who was rated as the best wicket-keeper in the world by captain Virat Kohli ahead of the start of the series against South Africa, took a brilliant catch to dismiss Theinus de Bruyn on the third day of the second Test at the MCA Stadium, Pune.
It all happened in the 21st over when Theinus de Bruyn edged a shortish length ball from Umesh Yadav to Saha, who dived to his right and grabbed a stunner.
The brilliant catch brought an end to de Bruyn’s gritty knock of 30 runs from 58 deliveries.

Among the active wicketkeepers in international cricket, Saha leaves others behind with his proficiency in catching against pace bowlers. As per a CricViz stat, Saha completes 96.9 percent catches successfully. The stat is certainly the best as no other wicket-keeper has got such consistency with the glovers.
The closest to Saha is the Sri Lankan wicketkeeper Niroshan Dickwella, who bagged the percentage of 95.5. Third in the chart is England’s Jonny Bairstow, who got 95.2%.
