Afghanistan has announced their T20I and ODI squads for the upcoming series against the West Indies set to be played at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow, India.
The ODI and T20I sides will be led by Rashid Khan once again, with the leg-spin ace taking charge of the team across all three formats after the completion of the 2019 World Cup in England and Wales.
Ibrahim Zadran has been handed a maiden T20I call-up. The 17-year-old batsman had recently impressed with a fine half-century on debut in Afghanistan’s memorable Test win over Bangladesh in Chattogram. The youngster has now been rewarded for that showing with a place in both the white-ball outfits.
Afghanistan vs. West Indies series will start with three ODIs (November 6, 9 and 11), followed by three T20Is (November 14, 16 and 17), and a one-off Test, beginning on November 27.
