Sydney Sixers registered a big win over the Melbourne Stars in the ongoing Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL) game at Hurstville Oval on Saturday.
All-rounder Marizanne Kapp clean bowled Madeline Penna and Nicola Hancock before trapping Holly Ferling lbw to complete her maiden WBBL hat-trick. There was a strong South Africa flavor in the first half of the match as Mignon du Preez (44) top-scored for the Stars while Dane van Niekerk claimed two wickets for 18 in her first appearance of the fifth season.
Apart from all this, what grabbed the attention of fans was the brilliance of Sixers’ all-rounder Ellyse Perry to run-out Stars wicket-keeper Katey Martin.
On the last ball of the 16th over, Perry hit the bullseye to send Martin packing for one.
How's this from Ellyse Perry! 👏 #WBBL05 pic.twitter.com/KMHjp2aN1L
