India captain Rohit Sharma smashed a 43-ball 85 against Bangladesh in Rajkot during the second T20I on Thursday.
Rohit completed his 18th T20I fifty off just 23 balls, which was also his second fastest in the shortest format. His innings was laced with six sixes and six boundaries. Playing his 100th T20I international, he had a dream game as he looked unstoppable in a 154-run chase.
Rohit and Shikhar Dhawan added a 118 run partnership for the opening wicket, and the Men in Blue completed the chase in 154.4 overs at the loss of 2 wickets.
Earlier in the day, Indian bowlers kept it tight in the final few overs to keep Bangladesh in check as they posted 153/6 in their full quota of 20 overs.
Wrist spinner Yuzvendra Chahal was the pick of the bowlers for India with figures of 2/28.

I have mastered the art of watching cricket on mute and imagining commentary done by my favourite commentators. Just now it’s Tony Greg for Rohit Sharma’s shots 🙂 Uff . What would be your choice ? #Imagine

Emohatic and very important win for India. Kudos to Rohit Sharma, knowing the he was the best person to overturn the pressure building uo on his team. Fantastic, 6-filled knock which will not put Bangladesh under the pump

When I was growing up, Salim Durani was Mr Sixer in Indian cricket. Today, to a much larger degree, across any format, it is clearly Rohit Sharma. Amazing strike power!

Rohit could be reported to the Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Bowlers. Poor Mosaddek goes for 3 sixes in his first three balls.

Got to admire #RohitSharma's ability as captain to stay calm and back his players during phases when his team his struggling. He’s done it numerous times during the IPL too. A trait that helps teams under him make a comeback in a game when all seems lost. #IndvsBan
