Continuing his dream run in the longest format of the game, India opener Mayank Agarwal scored a sensational double century in the first innings of the series opener against Bangladesh at the Holkar Cricket Stadium in Indore.
Agarwal, who is a natural stroke player and likes to feel the ball on the willow, looked in supreme touch against the Bangladesh Tigers on Friday. He slammed 25 boundaries and five sixes en route to the double ton, his second in a span of just four Test matches.
The 28-year-old had earlier slammed an unforgettable double hundred against South Africa in Vizag.
However, his innings in the Indore Test is something special as the pitch was aiding the bowlers but Agarwal kept his cool, picked the bad deliveries, and continued his cracking run of form with the bat.
Here’s how Twitter reacted to the Mayank Agarwal show:
So proud of you @mayankcricket 👏👏👏👏👏keep it up

When I set eyes on Mayank Agarwal the first time, it was during the under 19 WC in NZ, he looked a little replica of Virender Sehwag. Today he got to his 200 in true Sehwag style! 👏👏👏🙏🙏🙏#MayankAgarwal

Great example of how to cement your place. Having toiled for so long, Mayank Agarwal is making his opportunity, and form, count. This is a classy double.

Mayank Agarwal becomes the second Indian batsman to reach 200 with a six in Tests. First was Rohit Sharma in the last Test vs SA. #INDvBANhttps://t.co/HyXbA7Qqr3 pic.twitter.com/oJP5vnYz7h
