Team India is gearing up for the historic pink-ball Test against Bangladesh, which will be played from November 22-26 at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
Both teams will be playing a Test match under lights for the first time in their cricketing history. But ahead of the match, India’s vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane got trolled on social media by skipper Virat Kohli and his new IPL teammate Shikhar Dhawan.
It all happened after Rahane took to Instagram to share his feelings about the upcoming match with his followers.
“Already dreaming about the historic pink ball test,” Rahane wrote along with a picture of him while sleeping and a pink ball lying next to him.
Kohli and Dhawan sensed the ‘dreamy’ post as an opportunity to troll Rahane. “Nice pose jinksy,” Kohli replied on the post while Dhawan wrote, “Sapney mein pic khich gayi.”
The Eden Gardens track is expected to be a green top, which the red hot Indian pace bowling unit would relish. The 22-yard strip was under covers on Monday with pitch curator Sujan Mukherjee confirming that there won’t be any pink ball testing before the action starts at 1 p.m. (IST) on Friday (November 22).
India leads the two-match series 1-0 after winning the first Test in Indore by an innings and 130 runs.
