WATCH: Rohit Sharma takes a one-handed stunner to dismiss Mominul Haque in Day-Night Test

Rohit Sharma took a stunner at the second slip to bring fans on the edge of their seats at the Eden Gardens on Friday.

In the 11th over of the historic Day-Night Test in India, Bangladesh skipper Mominul Haque edged a Umesh Yadav delivery that went flying towards the Indian captain Virat Kohli at first slip.

But, an alert Rohit Sharma dived to his right in front of the skipper to pluck it out one-handed. With this screamer, Rohit not only left the Kolkata crowd surprised but also earned praise from his teammates.

Relive the moment here:

Earlier, Mominul Haque won the toss and elected to bat first in front of a sell-out crowd.

“The wicket is dry and hard, so that’s why we want to bat first,” Mominul said at the toss.

“It’s a brave decision we feel. It’s a great opportunity for everyone.”

India made no changes in their team that won the first Test in Indore.

“We would have batted first as well. Decent grass cover on it, but it’s a hard pitch,” Kohli said at the toss.

“With the pink ball there will be something for the first 15 overs. This is another opportunity for us to come and execute our skills.

“The challenge is to adapt quickly to the ball. It travels fast and it’s difficult to control. We are fulfilling the responsibility of debuting with the pink ball.”

India leads the two-match Test series 1-0.
