WATCH – ‘Worst dropped catch’ : Joe Denly drops an easy-peasy of Kane Williamson

The second Test match between New Zealand and England has been drawn, and the hosts have won the two-match series 1-0. However, this series was not included in the ongoing ICC World Test Championship (WTC).

On the last day of the final Test, Kane Williamson scored his 21st Test century, and his partner in crime was Ross Taylor, who also reached his 19th Test ton. But, Williamson’s hundred could have been stopped if England’s Joe Denly would have caught him at short mid-wicket. Denly probably got the easiest catch, and yet he couldn’t able to grab the simple opportunity.

Worst dropped catch

During the 49th over of the innings, England pacer Jofra Archer bowled a slower delivery, and New Zealand’s skipper chipped it straight into the hands of Denly. Archer converted his follow-through into celebration as he thought Denly grabbed the catch. But seconds later, he realized that Denly has dropped the catch, which was an absolute sitter.

Archer was in shock, so does his fellow pacer Stuart broad who was fielding at the mid-on. Archer had a smile, and Broad kept his hands on his mouth as they couldn’t believe what really happened.

The commentators were also in disbelief and heard out, saying, “Out, oh no, What have you done? What have you done there”?
