India skipper Virat Kohli was unhappy with his team’s fielding display against West Indies in Thiruvananthapuram as the visitors won the second T20I by eight wickets.
To add to that, Kohli had something to say when the crowd reacted to a missed catch by chanting Sanju Samson’s name after wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant dropped a catch of Windies’ inform opener Evin Lewis.
Kohli’s angry gesture at the spectators
The Kerala crowd, who had given Sanju Samson the loudest cheer before the match when the Indian players were practicing, were disappointed when the local boy was not named in the playing XI. So when Pant dropped a catch in the fifth over off Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s bowling, the spectators let their feelings towards Pant known.
Kohli, however, was disappointed. He then decided to have a few words with the fans as he turned back to express his displeasure.
