After producing magnificent knocks in the three-match T20I series against West Indies, India captain Virat Kohli and opener KL Rahul have made significant progress in the ICC Men’s T20I player rankings.
Rahul’s incredible innings of 62 and 91 in the first and third T20I have earned him the 6th spot whereas Kohli’s 94* and 70* in those two matches have taken him back into the top 10.
Rahul gained three positions, and Kohli jumped five spots. The other Indian batter in the top-10 list is Rohit Sharma, who is in the 9th position.
Kohli has now become the only player to feature in the top 10 batters list in all three formats.
Other Indian players who have gained in the latest rankings are Rishabh Pant (up 15 places to 74th), Washington Sundar (up 19 places to 14th), and Deepak Chahar (up 22 places to 21st).
Pakistan’s Babar Azam remains at the top spot, followed by Australia’s limited over skipper Aaron Finch. England’s Dawid Malan holds the 3rd position, whereas New Zealand’s Colin Munro is at the 4th spot, followed by Glenn Maxwell at 5th.
