Team news

India

India have drafted in Mayank Agarwal to replace Shikhar Dhawan in the squad, but Rahul is expected to open the innings along with Rohit Sharma. Shardul Thakur has made a late entry to replace the injured Bhuvneshwar Kumar but don’t be surprised if India opts to play just two specialist fast bowlers on the slowish pitch at the Chepauk.

Probable XI: Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, Virat Kohli (c), Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant (WK), Kedar Jadhav, Ravindra Jadeja, Deepak Chahar, Kuldeep Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal, Mohammed Shami.

West Indies

West Indies will have to take a final call on opener Evin Lewis after he injured himself during the final T20I in Mumbai. If he does miss out, Sunil Ambris might take his spot in the XI. The visitors are expected not to make changes in the combination that helped them beat Afghanistan last month.

Probable XI: Evin Lewis/Sunil Ambris, Shai Hope, Shimron Hetmyer, Roston Chase, Nicholas Pooran (wk), Kieron Pollard (c), Jason Holder, Sheldon Cottrell, Romario Shepherd, Hayden Walsh, Alzarri Joseph.
