Australia’s veteran pacer Peter Siddle has announced his retirement from international cricket. Siddle played 67 Tests and scalped 221 wickets for his national side. His last appearance for Australia came in the fifth Ashes Test at The Oval in London.
Siddle finished his career as the 13th highest wicket-taker for Australia. The right-armer will always be remembered for his famous hat-trick on his 25th birthday against England in 2010.
The 35-year-old picked up eight five-wicket hauls in his Test career. His best performance came against England in the 2010 Ashes Test in Brisbane when he claimed five wickets for just 54 runs.
Cricketers, fans, and journalists from around the world reacted to Peter Siddle’s retirement news.
