Rashid Khan, the wonder-boy from Afghanistan, is currently playing for the Adelaide Strikers in the ongoing Big Bash League (BBL).
In the 17th match of BBL played between Strikers and Sydney Thunder, Rashid once again showed his skills, but this time from the bat.
Chasing the Thunder’s target of 169 runs, the Strikers had a terrible start as they lost the first wicket at a score of 2. The trouble didn’t stop there, as Strikers kept on losing wickets at regular intervals. Opener Jack Weatherald did hold his end and hit 52 runs, but It wasn’t enough.
However, Rashid, with his breath-taking 40 from 18 deliveries, almost pulled off a sensational victory for Strikers, but they went down by three runs.
Rashid played some unbelievable shots and managed to steal the limelight even after his team lost the game. The right-hander took Thunder’s bowlers to the cleaners and punished them in every corner of the ground.
Rashid’s shot against Daniels Sams grabbed the maximum eyeballs.
During the 19th over of Strikers innings, Sams bowled a full delivery outside the off stump, but Rashid, with his genius skills, rolled his wrist to sweep it along the ground in the square-leg region for four. The shot left Sams in shock, and commentators couldn’t believe their eyes.
The official Twitter handle of BBL posted the video and captioned it as, “We can’t stop watching this shot from Rashid Khan…Daniel Sams’ reaction #BBL09.”
