NZ vs IND: Netizens slam BCCI, Virat Kohli for dropping Sanju Samson again

On Sunday, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the T20I squad for the upcoming five-match series in New Zealand starting January 24.

Rohit Sharma and Mohammed Shami, who were given rest in the recently concluded T20I series against Sri Lanka, returned into the squad. However, the selectors dropped Sanju Samson, and that fumed cricket fans.

Samson played the third T20I against Sri Lanka in Pune, where he could only score six runs in two balls. The wicket-keeper batsman played his career’s second T20I game after a gap of four years. Now, when BCCI came up with his exclusion from the squad, it obviously rattled cricket lovers, and they expressed the anger towards the selectors as well as captain Virat Kohli on Twitter.
