In their must-win game of ongoing Big Bash League (BBL), Brisbane Heat needed someone out in the field to play a defining inning. And AB de Villiers turned out to be that guy for the Brisbane-based franchise. The Proteas star smashed the Stars bowling unit to all corners of the ground as he clubbed a quickfire 71 with the help of two fours and six massive sixes.
De Villiers played a plethora of drool-worthy strokes on his way to a 37-ball 71, but one stroke that left the Melbourne crowd gobsmacked was the shot that he hit off Dilbar Hussain.
It all happened during the 18th over of the Heat innings when the ABD got deep into his crease on a full-length delivery from Hussain and launched it towards the long-on boundary for a maximum.
