New Zealand opener Martin Guptill was caught using a cuss word for India leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal after the second T20I at Eden Garden in Auckland.
The Men in Blue finished the run-chase of 133 runs comfortably and went on to take a 2-0 lead in the five-match series. The players of both the sides shook hands after the match, and the friendship among them caused Guptill to be found hilariously abusing Chahal on live TV.
The broadcasters’ anchor Jatin Sapru was on the ground when Chahal decided to have fun with his mic. The leggie grabbed it from Sapru’s hand and went straight towards Guptill and Rohit Sharma to have a chat with them.
Not knowing the situation, Guptill called Chahal ‘G**du’ as soon as he saw him; the local star did not know that the mic was switched on, and the camera was on them. Rohit and Chahal instantly freaked out, and the former turned away laughing.

After the match, New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson said they were 15-20 runs short of a competitive total.
“It was a tough day, and the wicket was quite different from the first game. As a batting unit, we needed probably another 15-20 runs more for a competitive total. Credit to the Indian bowlers for the way they restricted us, credit to the Indian side that put us under pressure and outplayed us in all the departments,” he said.
