The short interaction between New Zealand’s opener Martin Guptill and Indian spinner Yuzvendra Chahal became an instant hit after the Kiwi player was caught using a cuss word against Chahal and that too in the Hindi language.
It all happened after the end of the second T20I game between India and New Zealand at Eden Park in Auckland, where the visitors defeated the hosts and took a 2-0 lead in a five-match series.
Guptill was talking to Rohit Sharma when Chahal came in between the two to ask some questions from the local lad.
Before Chahal could drop any question, Guptill came up with a Hindi cuss word and shocked the spinner. It was surprising yet funny, which left Rohit in splits as the Indian opener couldn’t control himself to laugh his heart out.
Meanwhile, it seems that the leg-spinner had not given up on pulling Guptill’s leg as in a video clip trending on social media, Chahal can be seen asking Guptill to say that word once again.
The leggie shared an Instagram story which was picked by a Twitter user, where Chahal is asking Guptill to repeat the word again. The New Zealand player, however, seems to be known about the mistake he unwillingly committed, tried to ignore Chahal’s question.
Here’s an excerpt from the video:
Guptill: What are you saying?
Chahal: What you told me last night?
Guptill: You know what I told you last night… (both chuckles).
