During the fifth and final T20I between New Zealand and India, KL Rahul’s brilliance behind the stumps kept Indian fans busy on social media.
In the third over of the second innings, India pacer Navdeep Saini bowled a good length ball to Kiwi wicketkeeper-batsman Tim Seifert, who ran for a quick single after hitting the ball. Meanwhile, non-striker Tom Bruce was late in responding to his partner’s call.
Due to some confusion, there wasn’t any Indian player near the stumps. Sanju Samson, who collected the ball, threw it to Lokesh Rahul. The wicketkeeper sprinted forward, collected the ball and dived in front to dislodge off the bails earning comparison with legendary India wicket-keeper MS Dhoni.
Coming in to bat at No. 4 in the third over, Bruce returned to the pavilion without even getting off the mark.

Chasing a 164-run target, New Zealand stumbled once again to be restricted for 156/9 in 20 overs. A 99-run partnership for the fourth wicket between Seifert (50) and Ross Taylor (53) did give the hosts a chance to seal the chase but they again lost the plot in the death overs.
