Former and current Indian team members sent their best wishes to the India U19 team, who will take on Bangladesh in the 2020 ICC U19 Cricket World Cup final on Sunday in South Africa.

“All the best to the U19 Cricket Team for the U19 @cricketworldcup Final! Hope you’ll continue the stellar team performance & win this for India. #U19CWC #FutureStars #INDvBAN,” batting legend Sachin Tendulkar wrote on his Twitter post.

Captain Virat Kohli said the senior members would definitely be watching Priyam Garg’s side in action during the big Final, which will be played at Senwes Park in Potchefstroom.

Head coach of the senior team, Ravi Shastri, wished the Boys in Blue in his inimitable style, urging the young guns to give their best in the final.

“Hi, guys all the very best for the big day tomorrow, play the cricket that you guys have been playing, and we all will be watching you definitely, sending you best wishes and positivity. All I am gonna say is that just go on there and back yourself and believe in your game, Good luck,” Kohli said in a video posted by the BCCI on its official website.

“Hey, guys all the best for the finals, you know you have done a great job in the tournament so far leave the best for the last,” Shastri said.

Shardul Thakur and Ravindra Jadeja also had words of encouragement for the U19 team ahead of the big finale.

“You have made us proud you have made the nation proud by reaching the finals of U19 World Cup. You have played amazingly in the league stage, all the very best, hopefully we win to get the cup back home,” Thakur said.

“Congratulations to U19 team, they have done so well, and all the very best for the finals go hard and bring the Cup home,” Jadeja said.

India reached their third successive U19 World Cup final after thrashing Pakistan by 10 wickets in the first semi-final at Potchefstroom. Left-handed opener Yashasvi Jaiswal smashed a ton after India’s all-round bowling attack bundled Pakistan for a paltry 172.
