After back-to-back fabulous performances in red-ball cricket, Pakistan batsman Babar Azam has finally managed to break into the top-five in the latest released ICC Test Batsmen rankings on Tuesday.
In the recently concluded Test against Bangladesh at Rawalpindi, Babar Azam slammed his career’s fifth century (143) which helped him to jump to his career-best fifth position with 800 ratings. Now, Babar is the only batsman to be featured in the top five across formats. He’s the leader in T20Is, while No.3 in ODIs.
India’s Cheteshwar Pujara and Australia’s David Warner have slipped one place each and reached sixth and seventh spots, respectively. Rest all the batters in the top-10 have retained their respective positions.
With 928 ratings, Indian skipper Virat Kohli is at the top, followed by Aussie genius Steve Smith with 911 points. Marnus Labuschagne is in third, while Kane Williamson is in fourth place.
