The fixture between Karachi Kings and Quetta Gladiators in the ongoing edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) was an intriguing one.
However, one instance in the match which will be etched in the memory of spectators, and also in the reels of bloopers this season.
Quetta Gladiator batsman Azam Khan (46) while reaching the crease during one of his runs, held the bat upside down.
In the end, it was the handle of the bat which slid inside the crease, instead of the toe-end of the bat, leaving everyone in splits.
Luckily, the ball did not hit the stumps directly and Khan managed to make his ground.

Despite mockery from commentator Rameez Raja and netizens due to his plump physique, it appears none of the jibes seems to affect his batting.
Following his decisive knock of 56 against Islamabad United, Azam, son of Moin Khan, took the Gladiators over the line against Karachi Kings, chasing a challenging total of 157.

Mohammad Hasnain’s inspirational spell of 3/33, constantly put the brakes on the Kings’ proceedings, which restricted them to 156-9.
None of the Karachi batsmen were able to convert their starts into a substantial score. With the ball, the Karachi-based franchise threatened to take the game deep with the early wickets of Shane Watson, Jason Roy, and Ajmal Shehzad.
However, former Pakistan captain Sarfraz Ahmad, in partnership with Azam, guided the Gladiators’ home, with a comfortable 5-wicket win.
