Virat Kohli & Co. failed to meet the challenges posed by the Wellington pitch in the first Test as New Zealand pacers ran riot to hand Team India their first defeat in the ongoing ICC World Test Championship. It was the seam movement and swing early on in the game that saw the Black Caps get the better of India batsman in the Test series opener.
Ahead of the second Test in Christchurch, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), has shared a picture of the pitch with a hilarious caption that has left fans quite worried.
On Thursday, the BCCI tweeted, “Spot the pitch” as a picture of the 22-yard strip wash shared on social media.
In what looked like an incredibly green surface, the fans on social media started to predict another batting collapse for the Indian team considering the way the hosts undid Kohli and his men on a not-so-green surface in the first Test.

The fans have been vocal of their interpretation of the pitch, having looked at the picture that the BCCI shared. Many believe that India batsmen will again struggle against swing bowling if Kohli loses the toss, and his men walk out to bat first.
As usual, Kohli will loose the toss and the great Indian batting order will collapse once again leading to another embarrassing defeat.
