India’s star all-rounder, Hardik Pandya, who has been out of international action since September 2019, after sustaining a back injury, announced his return to the cricketing field by hitting four sixes in a local T20 tournament.
The Indian team has been plagued with injuries with stars like Shikhar Dhawan, Rohit Sharma, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, and now Ishant Sharmạ. However, they missed the services of their marquee finisher the most in all formats of the game.
Pandya was on his way to feature in New Zealand ‘A’ series but ruled himself out after consulting with his fitness trainer. It was only a few months back that the hard-hitting all-rounder recuperated from the lower back surgery. The Mumbai Indians star is now eager to make his way back, with the Indian Premier League (IPL) kicking off in less than a month away.
In a recent match of the DY Patil T20 Cup 2020, Pandya smashed four towering sixes for Reliance 1, who featured against Bank of Baroda. Pandya took Varun Sood to the cleaners in two consecutive deliveries.

The 26-year-old smacked 38 off just 25 deliveries during his knock, enabling his team to post a total of 150. Pandya came back with the ball, and clinched three wickets during his spell, giving away just 26 runs.
Hardik will now eye a successful IPL campaign followed by the all-important T20 World Cup in Australia starting from October 24.
