Former Australian chinaman bowler, Brad Hogg, has picked his Fab Four of the modern-day cricket across all formats.

For a long time, the Fab Four of Indian cricket referred to the middle-order quartet of Sourav Ganguly, Sachin Tendulkar, VVS Laxman, and Rahul Dravid.

Then, with the onset of a new era of cricket, the Fab Four of cricket were Virat Kohli of India, Steve Smith of Australia, Kane Williamson of New Zealand, and Joe Root of England.

However, Smith and Root chose different paths, concentrating more on the longer format of the game, whereas Kohli and Williamson continued to excel in all formats.

The game also witnessed the rise of batting geniuses such as Babar Azam, David Warner and Rohit Sharma, who were bound to be included in the Fab Four.

This made many cricketing pundits rechristened the Fab Four of modern cricket. Continuing with the trend set by Aakash Chopra, Hogg revealed his Fab Four across all formats of the game.

In the Tests, Hogg included Azam and Kiwi opener Tom Latham, along with Steve Smith and Virat Kohli.

Further, he named Babar again in the ODI Fab Four along with Protea captain Quinton de Kock, Kohli, and English swashbuckler Jonny Bairstow.

For the T20Is, Azam yet again featured in the Fab Four along with Kohli, and Hogg also included Kohli’s deputy Rohit Sharma and England captain Eoin Morgan.
