The veteran Indian speedster Ishant Sharma is known for his outstanding bowling, and from the past many years, he has been a tremendous servant of Indian cricket. The 6-plus feet bowler has played 97 Tests and picked up 297 wickets.
The 31-year-old cricketer revealed his faviourate batsman between India’s iconic batsman Sachin Tendulkar and modern-day great Virat Kohli. During a chat show with Cricbuzz, Ishant was asked to pick one between Tendulkar and Kohli, and Delhi-born pacer went for the current skipper of the Indian team.
Ishant said, “Virat Kohli is the best batsman I have ever seen play on a cricket field.”
The Delhi Capitals bowler is currently suffering from an ankle injury. During the Test series against New Zealand, Ishant played the opening Test. However, ahead of the second game, he got injured and therefore had to leave the tour.
Ishant shimmered in the first Test and scalped five wickets. It also became his 11th five-wicket haul of Test career.
