The coronavirus pandemic has shocked the entire world and brought everything on the globe to a standstill. The deadly virus has forced many countries around the world to seal their borders and impose a complete lockdown.
On Thursday, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation and urged the citizens to follow a “Janta Curfew” from 7 am to 9 pm on the following Sunday (March 22).
Since then, several cricketers, including Indian captain Virat Kohli, have come out in support of Modi’s appeal and requested people to stay indoors in order to stay away from the COVID-19 virus spread.
Now, Former England player Kevin Pietersen has also joined Kohli’s club as he took to Twitter to urge his fans in India to follow the directives issued by the Indian government. However, there was something unique in the approach as the former English cricketer appealed in ‘Hindi’ language.
The 39-year-old urged the people to fight against the coronavirus together and requested fans to stay in their homes.
“Namaste India hum sab coronavirus ko harane mein ek saath hai, hum sab apne apne sarkar ki baat ka nirdes kare aur ghar me kuch Dino ke liye rahe, yeh samay hai hosiyaar rahene ka. App sabhi ko der sara pyaar,” Pietersen tweeted.

Earlier, cricketers like Harbhajan Singh, Yuvraj Singh, Rishabh Pant, and KL Rahul advised people to come together and create awareness about this deadly virus.
