Yuvraj Singh names the actor he wants to see in his biopic

Two-times World Cup-winning all-rounder, Yuvraj Singh, has picked the Bollywood actor who he wants to play as himself in his biopic.

Yuvi wants Gully Boy and Amazon Prime Inside Edge star Siddhant Chaturvedi to portray his role. Interestingly, the actor has an uncanny resemblance to the Indian cricketing icon.

Filmfare award-winning actor, Siddhant Chaturvedi shot to fame after his role of MC Sher in Gully Boy. He played as a close accomplice of the protagonist of the story, Ranveer Singh.

Also, he played the role of Imran in the popular web series Inside Edge, portraying him as a young fast bowler.

Siddhant Chaturvedi

“Probably, I’d play myself — that would be a bit desperate… (chuckles) hai, na? See, that’s the director’s job to decide. If it’s going to be a Bollywood film, then Siddhant Chaturvedi is a good option; I’d love to see him in the film,” Yuvi quoted according to TOI.

Also, Chaturvedi was all over social media due to his rebuttal to Ananya Pandey during one of the roundtable shows of Rajeev Masand. He is slated to share the screen with Ananya later this year.

Yuvraj Singh, on the other hand, was recently part of the Road Safety World Series representing the India Legends. The tournament was suspended due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Yuvi lit up Wankhede along with the likes of Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, and Zaheer Khan during the all-star tournament.

The tournament also featured legends from West Indies, South Africa, Australia, and Sri Lanka. Brian Lara, Shivnarine Chanderpaul, Tillakaratne Dilshan were the other prominent names who starred in the league.
