The COVID-19 pandemic has brought the entire world to a stand-still position. Many countries have gone under lockdown in order to control the spread of the deadly virus.
In India, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation on Tuesday (Mar 24), to declare that the entire country will be under lockdown for the upcoming 21 days.
The number of cases here has surged to 697 and that’s the biggest reason why almost every sports personality has been urging people to stay at their home.
Veteran Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin also requested people to stay at their homes but in a unique manner. On Wednesday, he posted a picture of his much-talked-about ‘Mankad’ incident from IPL 2019 when he ran Jos Buttler out and urged everyone to take a lesson from it to stay inside your border.
Hahaha, somebody sent me this and told me it's exactly been 1 year since this run out happened.
As the nation goes into a lockdown, this is a good reminder to my citizens.

Now Buttler’s IPL franchise Rajasthan Royals (RR) has reacted to Ashwin’s creativity and asked: “How to keep distance from memories during a #21daylockdown?”

It wasn’t the first time that the offie and Jaipur-based franchise indulged in banter on Twitter. Last year Royals took a dig at Ashwin’s infamous ‘Mankad’ dismissal when a fan shared a picture of a special ball box, with ‘Mankad’ written on all of them.
“No points for guessing who is adding this to their cart for #IPL2020,” tweeted Rajasthan Royals.

Ashwin, like always, was quick to respond. In fact, his reply ended up winning many hearts.
“Might well be a good collection for the non-strikers who meander along. Good banter, nevertheless. Wish you all a happy 2020,” Ashwin replied.
