Amid coronavirus pandemic, many cricketers are engaging with fans on various social media platforms. Recently, former England batsman Kevin Pietersen and Indian opener Rohit Sharma collided in an Instagram live session where they discussed many things.
Just like it, former Australia spinner Shane Warne also took to Instagram live to interact with his fans on Monday. During the session, Warne faced many questions, and he tried to respond to as many as possible.
Warne was asked to reveal the batsman who could bat in any conditions. Replying to which, the former leggie picked India’s greatest batsman Sachin Tendulkar as his answer. However, he also added that if any side has to chase 400 runs on the last day, then he would definitely include Brian Lara in his team.
“If I have to choose any batsman to bat in any conditions, it is a real toss-up between Tendulkar and Lara, but I would just choose Tendulkar,” said the 50-year-old.
“If we have to chase 400 runs on the last day, I would definitely pick Lara,” Warne added.
“There were these two guys, then there was daylight, and after that, the rest of the batsmen came,” he added further.
Warne played 145 Tests for Australia, in which the leg-spinner bagged 708 wickets – second highest in the history of red-ball cricket. Ten times, the Aussie has taken 10-wicket-hauls during his marvellous Test career, which is the second-best in the longest format of the game. He is also the second bowler in the history of Test cricket to earn maximum 5-wicket-hauls (37).
