Rashid Khan reveals the two deadliest batsmen in cricket world

Amid the coronavirus pandemic, almost every country is facing lockdown. In India, the lockdown has been extended to May 3, in order to stop the spread of COVID-19. In the meantime, cricketers can be seen on various social media platforms discussing what they are doing in the isolation period and also interacting with fans.

In the process, Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan took part in an Instagram live chat hosted by TV presenter Ridhima Pathak, where the leg-spinner spoke about many things related to his professional as well as personal life.

During the chat session, Rashid was asked to name the deadliest batsmen he feels in cricket world right now. The leggie, without taking much time, responded to the question and took the names of West Indies’ power-hitter Andre Russell and Indian star all-rounder Hardik Pandya.

“At the moment, there are two batsmen, Andre Russell and Hardik Pandya, who in my opinion are the most dangerous batsmen, especially in the death overs. So tough to bowl to them in the slog overs,” Rashid said during the chat.

Russell has so far played 49 T20 internationals, in which the right-hander has clubbed 540 runs with an impressive strike-rate of 151. In IPL, the Jamaican cricketer has amassed 1400 runs in 64 games with a breathtaking strike-rate of 186.41 – highest strike-rate in the history of the lucrative league.

Pandya, on the other hand, has so far featured in 40 T20Is for Team India, in which the right-handed batsman has scored 310 runs with a strike-rate of 147.61. When it comes to IPL, then in 66 games, the Baroda player has accumulated 1068 runs with a brilliant strike-rate of 154.78.

Meanwhile, in the chat, Rashid also disclosed that Bollywood films have helped him to improve his Hindi. He stated that in Afghanistan people love to watch Bollywood movies and the Khan trio (Salman, Shahrukh and Amir) are the most liked actors there.

Rashid further added that Amir Khan is his favourite actor. He said that ‘3 idiots’, ‘Tare Zameen Par’ and ‘Dangal’ are his favourite movies.

“I love Amir Khan; he is my favourite actor. Movies like 3 idiots, Tare Zameen Par, and Dangal are my favourite as being a sportsperson they inspire me a lot,” said Rashid.
