Amid coronavirus pandemic, cricketers who are stuck at their homes are engaging in different activities on social media platforms in order to interact with their fans. In the process, Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan has come up with a unique look for the quarantine period and posted it on Instagram.

The destructive left-handed batsman posed for a picture tying a muffler around his head like a turban. Shikhar termed it as ‘Quarantine Look’.

As soon as Shikhar shared the photograph, he received many heartwarming replies from his followers. Among many lovely responses from the fans, one comment earned all the limelight, and it came by none other than veteran India spinner Harbhajan Singh.

Harbhajan gave two responses. In the first reply, he gave Shikhar a nickname “Babbu”, while in other he posted three ‘Wow Hand’ sign emojis.

Like the rest, Shikhar is also utilising his time well in lockdown with wife Ayesha and son Zoravar. Just last week, the 34-year-old shared a video on microblogging website Twitter where he was seen working out with his family. He also urged people not to engage in “domestic violence” while at home.

“While I enjoy my time at home with my loving family, I am truly disheartened and sad to hear about domestic violence still existing in today’s time & we need to put an end to it. Choose a kind and loving partnership and say no to violence,” Shikhar wrote while captioning the video on Twitter.

Shikhar was supposed to join his Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Delhi Capitals (DC), but due to COVID-19 outbreak, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) was forced to postpone the 13th edition of the cash-rich league for an indefinite time.

Known as ‘Gabbar’ in the cricketing world, Shikhar has so far played 159 matches in IPL and has scored 4579 runs – fifth highest in the lucrative league. He has also smashed 37 half-centuries in IPL which is the third-highest tally for any player.
