Rohit Sharma is arguably the most successful captain in the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL). He has led Mumbai Indians (MI) to four IPL titles in 2013, 2015, 2017 and 2019 respectively. He had also won one title in 2009 under the leadership of Australian great Adam Gilchrist while playing for the now-defunct Deccan Chargers.
During a recent Instagram live session between Rohit and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) captain David Warner, the ‘Hitman’ was asked about the chances of Virat Kohli-led side winning the IPL title in the near future. Replying to Warner’s query, the MI skipper blatantly said: “I really don’t know about that.”
Rohit, however, termed RCB franchise as unfortunate while stating that they did have a brilliant team for the 13th season of the IPL. Moreover, he also revealed that MI’s team meeting lasts for almost two hours every time they have a match against the RCB. Rohit termed the franchise’s batting line-up as unreal and said that MI plan for RCB more than any other team.
“It’s unfortunate (not winning the IPL), but they have got a balanced team this year. Honestly speaking, we plan for RCB more than any other team because of their batting line-up. Their batting line-up is just unreal man. Our team meeting goes up to around a couple of hours,” the MI skipper added.
Meanwhile, Warner (while laughing out loudly) went on to say that RCB is having the best team in the IPL for around ten years now.

The IPL 2020 was initially supposed to get underway on March 29 with last year’s finalists and multiple-time winners Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings locking horns in the tournament opener at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. But, now has been indefinitely suspended by BCCI due to the global pandemic.
