Pakistan pacer Mohammad Amir came across with Virat Kohli’s doppelganger while watching a Turkish TV series ‘Dirilis Ertugrul Ghazi’ amid the ongoing coronavirus crisis.

The Turkish drama is based on the heroic story of Ertugrul Ghazi, the father of Osman (Uthman) who founded the Ottoman Empire. The TV series consists of five seasons with as many as 448 episodes for the viewers to watch.

Amir was simply amazed by the striking resemblance of Turkish actor and producer Cavit Çetin Güner with Kohli as the Pakistani seamer took to Twitter and hilariously asked the Indian skipper if he is actually acting in the series. “@imVkohli brother is it you m confused,” Amir’s tweet read.

As far as Virat’s lookalike is concerned, Cavit Çetin Güner is known for his exceptional work in Dirilis Ertugrul – the TV series which first released in 2014, Long time Ago and Be Witness Documentary (both released in 2019).

The actor is very similar to how Kohli looks and a few of his Instagram pictures is a testament to it.

Meanwhile, Amir was left out from the central contracts list announced by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for the 2020-2021 season on Wednesday. While Amir’s name went missing from the lucrative list, promising young talent Naseem Shah bagged his first central contract with the Pakistan national side.

Rising Pakistan star Haris Rauf, who raised his stocks in the Big Bash League Season Nine (BBL|09) was placed in the Emerging Players’ category by PCB.
