June 4 marks the birth date of England’s premier all-rounder Ben Stokes, who turned 29 on Thursday.
Stokes has had a phenomenal 2019 English summer where he helped England secure their maiden ODI World Cup title with his all-round prowess.
The Durham cricketer then backed it up with his fourth-innings heroics at the Headingley Test match of the subsequent 2019 Ashes series.
Apart from being an excellent English cricketer, Stokes is also a mainstay at the Rajasthan Royals camp in the IPL. Earlier, Stokes hogged headlines for bagging the most expensive contract with Rising Pune Supergiant (RPS) in the auctions of 2016.
However, his name might be treated homonymic with a popular Hindi abuse which Indian captain Virat Kohli frequently endorses.
Knowing the closely-knit atmosphere within the Indian franchise, one of the Indian cricketers might have given Stokes his piece of mind regarding the popular Hindi slang.
Since making his debut, Kohli was famous for his antics on the field for using the slang word, whenever India broke through with a catch, or run-out, or when he simply elated in jubilation for a teammate.
To which, renowned Bollywood celebrity, Javed Jaffrey, once tweeted a joke, “I feel so proud when India takes a wicket because each time they take a wicket, Virat Kohli takes my name. You can find that out by reading his lips” – Ben Stokes.”

Then Stokes replied by saying, “I may delete Twitter just so I don’t have to see another tweet reading “He’s saying Ben Stokes”(when he’s clearly not)in reply to a video of Virat saying you know what it was funny the first 100,000 times.

On his 29th birthday, fans continued to shower Stokes with the hilarious anecdote from last year with funny tweets.
Here’s a collection of a few of them:
