Within a span of a couple of months, the Indian film fraternity lost three of its finest gems in the form of Rishi Kapoor, Irrfan Khan and now Sushant Singh Rajput.
In the late afternoon on Sunday, the sad news of ‘MS Dhoni: The Untold Story’ actor, Sushant Rajput’s death broke the internet with Twitterverse exploding with shock and disbelief.
The actor, reportedly, committed suicide by hanging himself in his Bandra residence. It is said that the talented actor, in the peak of his career, was going through depression in the past few months.
The DCE drop-out pursued a career in acting and came into prominence through television serial ‘Pavitra Rishta’ on Zee TV.
From there on, he made his Bollywood debut in ‘Kai Po Che’ in 2013, before rising to stardom portraying former Indian captain MS Dhoni, in his biopic. Rajput gave life to Dhoni’s tale to perfection and garnered a substantial amount of admiration for his work.
Rajput gave several blockbusters to the audiences in the form of ‘Shhudh Desi Romance’, ‘Raabta’, ‘Chhichhore’ and ‘Kedarnath’.
Moreover, the actor hailing from Patna was renowned for his infectious smile, happy go lucky nature and his humility while on sets.
As soon as the sad news broke out, cricketers heaped their condolences and shock regarding the death of the 34-year old actor. Stars such as Sachin Tendulkar, Anil Kumble, Shikhar Dhawan, Ajinkya Rahane and several other prominent cricketing entities, registered their tribute to the actor.
Now, David Warner and Rohit Sharma also joined in to offer homage to Sushant through their emotional posts on Instagram.
