Under normal circumstances, the 13th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) would have drawn curtains by now.
Moreover, the ongoing pandemic situation has left huge clouds hovering over the fate of the league after being postponed indefinitely.
The 2020 edition would have been their third season after coming back from their two-year hiatus.
CSK currently has the second most number of IPL titles, with three wins overall in 2010, 2011, and 2018, following Mumbai Indians (MI). The Mumbai-based franchise has four IPL titles to their name with wins in every alternate season since 2013.
The 2020 edition was crucial for CSK’s matador Dhoni, who was gearing up for his first competitive tournament after the 2019 World Cup.
