The late actor Sushant Singh Rajput hit the ball out of the park with his outstanding performance in Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s biopic titled ‘M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story’.
On June 14, Sushant committed suicide at his Bandra residence in Mumbai, sending shockwaves to the Bollywood industry and the cricketing fraternity in the country. Sushant was immensely popular and regarded highly for his unconventional choices and versatility on the silver screen. And one of the highlights of Sushant’s career was his near-perfect portrayal of Dhoni in the latter’s biopic.
Sushant had earned many accolades for copying Dhoni’s mannerisms and batting style in the movie.
From the start to the end, Sushant had left no stones unturned to keep the audience at the edge of there seats. One of the riveting scenes of the movie was its climax, where Dhoni (Sushant) smashed the winning six against Sri Lanka at Wankhede to end India’s 28 year-long draught for the ODI World Cup trophy.
Sushant’s fans have been reliving some of the old memories of the late actor, who has left a massive void in the lives of many. In a throwback video, which has now gone viral, one can see Sushant reading a book and studying while his film ‘M.S. Dhoni: The untold’ story plays on the television. The actor has his infectious smile on as he watches himself in the stadium as MSD. He even made a hand gesture and called ‘Dhoni… Dhoni…’ in excitement.

The director of the movie, Neeraj Pandey, had also said that Ranchi-born MS Dhoni was left devastated after hearing about the untimely demise of Sushant. “Apart from calling Mahi Bhai, I have also called two of his best friends Mihir Diwakar and Arun Pandey. They all seemed very upset with such terrible news. Mahi Bhai was in shock to hear the news and got shattered,” Pandey had said.
