Krunal and Hardik Pandya are one of those few brother pairs in cricket who have been successful with their respective stints for the Indian team as well as for their Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Mumbai Indians (MI).
Hardik and Krunal’s fortunes changed when they got a chance to play for MI in IPL. The consistency in producing match-winning performances has transformed them into a golden asset for the Mumbai side. When it comes to the national team, then Hardik plays in all three formats, while Krunal represents India in T20Is. Hardik made his India debut in 2016 and Krunal in 2018.
There is no doubt that the duo has come a long way since their early days. Speaking about the old times, Krunal recently shared a throwback clip of his own and brother Hardik’s first-ever interview to a local news channel.
In the video, both Krunal and Hardik can be seen exhibiting their ambitions of playing for the Indian team together just like Irfan Pathan and Yousuf Pathan, who incidentally also came from Baroda.
Krunal shared the old clip on his Twitter handle and wrote: “Throwback to the #PandyaBrothers’ first-ever interview Just young kids with big dreams If we can make it, anyone can. Just work hard to achieve your dreams @hardikpandya7.”

As soon as Krunal shared the clip, it quickly went viral and received a massive response from fans and followers. Even Hardik reacted to the post from his brother and termed it as ‘gold’.

Hardik has so far appeared in 11 Tests, 54 ODIs and 40 T20Is for India, scoring 532, 957 and 310 runs, respectively. He has also taken 109 wickets across formats. Krunal, on the other hand, has played 18 T20Is for ‘Men in Blue’, amassing 121 runs and bagging 14 wickets.
