The ongoing ‘Raise the Bat’ Test match between England and West Indies at the Ageas Bowl in Southampton witnessed an eyebrow-raising selection made by the hosts.

The team management omitted Stuart Broad out of the game and went ahead with the pace-heavy lineup in the form of Mark Wood and Jofra Archer.

Further, it dismantled a lethal opening combination of James Anderson and Stuart Broad who have taken 1000+ Test wickets in between them.

“I’ve been frustrated, angry, gutted because it is quite a hard decision to understand. I’ve probably bowled the best I’ve ever bowled in the last couple of years. I felt like it was my shirt, particularly winning the Ashes and going to South Africa and winning there,” Broad said to Sky Sports ahead of day 3.

Now, former West Indies fast bowler Tino Best took this opportunity to take a subtle dig at Archer, who played ahead of Broad.

“Honestly why Archer playing before Broad chaaaaa fair is fair tho, cause u have Wood bowling 90+ , And he’s bowling the same pace as Broad , I have no problem with Broad being pissed #EngVsWI ….. that’s not fair at all,” Best tweeted.

Archer, who is already popular within the Twitter fraternity for his uncanny ability to make true predictions in the past, replied Best with a savage response. “With all this knowledge how are you not a coach yet ?” the Barbados-born cricketer asked.

Then, an angry Best left a scathing remark on Archer’s question by pointing out his lack of pace in his bowling since the Ashes last year.

“Don’t address me personally Young man , the fact remains your bowling toothpaste and u haven’t bowled Quickly since ASHES , now go sleep and get some rest for WI to beat ya ball in the second innings bye Jorfa,” Best replied.

However, an apt reply is still awaited from the World Cup-winning fast bowler.
