From the last few days, COVID-19 cases in India have been increasing rapidly. Currently, the nation is at third place after the United States of America (USA) and Brazil as far as numbers of coronavirus cases are concerned.

The deadly disease has gripped people from all classes. From ordinary Indian citizens to celebrities, a large number of people have been severely affected by the life-threatening virus. One of the famous public figures is the legendary Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan.

“I have tested CoviD positive .. shifted to Hospital .. hospital informing authorities .. family and staff undergone tests, results awaited. All that have been in close proximity to me in the last ten days are requested to please get themselves tested!” tweeted Amitabh.

Not just Amitabh, his son Abhishek, daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and granddaughter Aaradhya have also tested positive. And ever since the news came out, wishes have been pouring in from people belonging to different walks of life.

“Aishwarya and Aaradhya have also tested COVID-19 positive. They will be self quarantining at home. The BMC has been updated of their situation and are doing the needful. The rest of the family, including my Mother, have tested negative. Thank you all for your wishes and prayers,” tweeted Abhishek.

While they are currently undergoing treatment, various Bollywood actors, politicians, and sports personalities have taken to social media to express their concern and wish the family’s safe recovery. The list even includes former Pakistani speedster, Shoaib Akhtar. He took to Twitter and wrote, “Get well soon Amit ji. Prayers for a speedy recovery from all your fans across the border.”

However, Akhtar’s wish to Amitabh didn’t go down well with one of the users on Twitter. The user criticised Pakistani cricketer and wrote: “across the border, terrorists rehte hain..nhi chahye koi bhi speedy recovery wali dua.”

But Akhtar reacted calmly and extended his blessings for the user, who tried to troll him. The veteran bowler said: “Sunnay wali upar walay ki zaat hai. Kya pata kis ki sun lay bhai. Aap k label kernay se koi label ho nahi jata. God bless you.”
