Bengal cricketer Manoj Tiwary is one of those players who remain quite active on social media platforms. He often shares his opinion on various topics of the captivating game. Tiwary is also full of life as he frequently shares photos and videos of him playing or spending quality time with his family and friends.
Carrying the same attitude, Tiwary took to Instagram and panned former Pakistan cricketers Salman Butt, Shoaib Akhtar and Waqar Younis for their negative views regarding Indian players. These Pakistani cricketers have unnecessarily criticized BCCI and the Indian players in the recent past.
Akhtar, who often receives heat for sharing maximum content related to Indian cricket because it grabs more attention and brings more views, recently criticized Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh. He compared the ‘Monkey gate’ incident involving Bhajji with the ‘ball-tampering’ episode featuring Australian cricketers Steve Smith and David Warner.
Not only this, Akhtar even grumbled that BCCI being the wealthiest body in cricket, have played a role in postponing the T20 event along with ICC. Akhtar said that organizing the IPL was given more importance as compared to the global showpiece event.
Tiwary blasted Butt as well on his comments about England cricketer Jofra Archer. Not so long ago, the former Pakistani opener had said that Archer shouldn’t have broken bio-security rules. After which, Butt, who was banned from international cricket for his involvement in spot-fixing in 2010, was trolled heavily on social media after for his comments.
Tiwary didn’t just stop there as he also condemned former Pakistan bowler Waqar when the latter compared Virat Kohli’s fitness with Pakistan’s cricketers. The Pakistan team was brutally trolled after their poor performance against India in the 2019 World Cup.
“Just look at these statements. Damn So much of jealousy. Salman butt, u don’t have the right to speak on rules and regulations I just wish God will bless them with some sense.”
Tiwary has so far played international cricket in the form of 12 One-Day Internationals (ODIs) and 3 T20Is for India. He has appeared in 125 first-class matches and scored 8965 runs at a phenomenal average of 50.36.
